Adam Briggs

Adam's career in professional theatre and events began in 2005, sparking a passion that has driven him ever since. While gaining experience with the performing arts department at his former school and working casually for Eastbourne Theatres, he honed his skills and seized every opportunity for development. During this time, he also launched his own venture, AB Events Solutions, managing small-scale productions.

In 2012, Adam's career progressed to the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne, where he served as Head Flyman/Technician until 2017. This role provided invaluable experience and solidified his expertise in technical theatre. He then transitioned to Sussex Events Ltd (SEL Live), where he currently serves as Operations Director.

At SEL Live, Adam oversees the daily operations, managing the logistics and preparation for upcoming events, as well as directing on-site teams. A versatile professional, he is equally comfortable behind a sound or lighting desk, constructing a stage, or operating heavy machinery. While his expertise spans a wide range of technical skills, he now primarily leads stage builds and event power projects.

Outside of his professional life, Adam shares his home with his partner, Lauren, and their two cats, Cosmo and Hugo. A dedicated endurance racing enthusiast, he prioritises attending the Le Mans 24 Hours whenever possible, despite the challenge it presents during the busy festival season. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, working with Lauren on their allotment and exploring the countryside.
